Platzregeln GC Schloß Frauenthal1. Markings:Out of Bounds: White stakes or white lines. A ball is out of bounds if it lies entirely on or outside these lines. Ground Under Repair (GUR): Blue stakes or white broken lines. Penalty Areas: Red stakes or red lines; Hole 11: The boundary to the penalty area is defined by the edge of the island green. No-Play Zones: (see Pt. 3) – Red stakes with green caps. When a line on the ground is used for marking, the lines define the respective boundaries. Stakes are only used to indicate boundaries. 2. Dropping Zones for Penalty Areas:As an additional option to Rule 17.1d, players at Holes 6, 11, and 15 may play the ball in the dropping zone, with a one-stroke penalty added. The dropping zone also serves as a relief area. The ball must be dropped and come to rest within the dropping zone. 3. No-Play Zones (MPR E-8.2):The area in the red penalty area, marked with red stakes with green caps on Holes 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 13, and 16, is a no-play zone. If the ball lies in the no-play zone within the penalty area, it may not be played as it lies, and relief under Rule 17.1e must be taken due to the obstruction caused by the no-play zone. At Hole 11, the dropping zone must be used. 4. Ground Under Repair (GUR) (Rule 16.1a):Open drains (gravel) and areas marked with white broken lines. 5. Unusual Course Conditions (MPR F-6):No relief for interference to stance position due to an animal hole. 7. Immovable Obstructions near the Green (Sprinklers and other fixed markers) (MPR F-5):The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction lies near the green and on the player's line of play. The immovable obstruction must be within two club lengths from the green and two club lengths from the ball. 9. Provisional Ball (Rule 18.3) only on Hole 15 (MPR B-3):If a player is uncertain whether their ball is in the penalty area after the first stroke directly towards the green on Hole 15, they may play a provisional ball under Rule 18.3, as modified. When playing the provisional ball, the player may take relief with stroke and distance penalty (see Rule 17.1d(i)). When deciding whether this provisional ball becomes the player's ball in play or whether it must be abandoned, Rules 18.3c(2) and 18.3c(3) apply, with the exception: if the original ball is found in the penalty area within the three-minute search time, the player may play the ball as it lies or continue the game with the provisional ball. However, the player may not proceed with the original ball under Rule 17.1. 10. Power Lines (MPR E-11):(Does not apply to power lines that are out of bounds). If it is known or virtually certain that the ball has struck a power line, mast, guy wire, or support post during play on Hole 4, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from the spot of the previous stroke (see Rule 14.6 for the procedure). 11. Embedded Ball:Rule 16.3 allows relief when a ball is embedded anywhere in the general area (except in penalty areas and bunkers). 12. Procedure for Inclement Weather and Play Interruption (Rule 5.7):Immediate Interruption: 1 signal (the ball can be marked, no further stroke may be made after the signal). Interruption (hole may still be completed): 3 signals. Resumption: 2 signals. Rule 5.7b requires immediate suspension of play if the game is interrupted or abandoned by the Committee! Players may only resume play once the Committee has ordered a resumption. This also applies to practice facilities. If a player fails to suspend play immediately, they are disqualified unless the suspension of this penalty is justified by the exception of Rule 5.7b. 13. Guidelines for Pace of Play:Players must play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines issued by the Committee. Between finishing one hole and teeing off on the next hole, players must not unduly delay play. Penalty strokes are added to the hole where the offense occurred. If play is delayed between playing two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole. 14. Range Balls:Range balls are the property of the golf club and may only be used on the driving range for practice purposes. Taking or depositing balls in caddie boxes, etc., is prohibited.
